Week 14 debrief: Happy holidays!
That’s all, folks! Congrats on completing the webapp checkoffs, hat tips to those who showed up for the last lecture, and thanks to everyone who came to try out the exam infrastructure during the dry run. Here is the last round-up of interesting questions, and general notes about the course, plus some important announcements.
But first: did you fill the in-depth evaluation? You can fill it from your Moodle home page.
Administrivia
- Congrats on completing the webapp checkoffs. Once you fill the in-depth evaluation, you’ll get access to your unguided lab grade on Moodle. Please make a private Ed post if you spot issues.
Final exam dry run
-
We will have a second, online-only dry on January 7th, from 4 to 7PM. This will be the last chance to train with the exam VMs (in contrast, the training VMs are always available).
-
There is a thread open on Ed where you can report if you had issues during the final exam dry run. This will help us mitigate issues on the final.
-
We will soon post a study guide for the final exam. Please read it carefully! It contains links to many additional resources, including the solution of Wednesday’s dry run.
-
We will not be helping with technical issues during the exam, so make sure to take a good look at the troubleshooting guide before the final!
Feedback on the course
Your detailed feedback throughout the course has been amazingly helpful. We have one last request: EPFL’s in-depth course evaluation.
- EPFL’s in-depth evaluation for CS-214 is open. This survey is used to evaluate courses at the school level: it’s your chance to praise or criticize the course and the team. Please do take the time to answer it; these evaluations matter a lot for junior professors.
